OCEANSIDE, CA : One hurt in SR-78 collision in Oceanside on Thursday, 15th September 2016

A collision on state Route 78 in Oceanside Thursday left a person injured and snarled traffic for a time during the morning commute.

A Nissan Sentra and a flatbed tow truck collided in the eastbound lanes approaching College Boulevard around 7 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

One of the motorists involved in the crash was taken to the nearby Tri-City Medical Center, a fire dispatcher said.

The wrecked vehicles blocked one eastbound lane and a SigAlert was issued as traffic came to a standstill in the area. But the roadway was later cleared and the order was lifted at about 8:15 a.m., according to the CHP.
