Woodland, CA : Antelope woman dies in solo car crash near Woodland on Friday, 19th February 2021
An Antelope woman died in a solo car crash just east of Woodland on Interstate-5, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The accident occurred around 7:23 a.m. Thursday on southbound I-5, just south of County Road 103.
The CHP reported it started receiving reports from witnesses and passing motorists. Also responding were Woodland firefighters. Both discovered the driver dead inside her white, 2016 Honda. The driver was the only passenger.
Following a preliminary investigation, the CHP determined the Honda was traveling south when for an unknown reason it left the roadway and struck a metal center divider, causing it to split in two.
The CHP didn’t report any estimate on how fast the vehicle was traveling and it wasn’t yet known if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the accident.
