GLENDALE, AZ : 2 critically hurt after Northern Ave. crash in Glendale on Tuesday, 26th September 2023

Two people are dead following a two-vehicle crash near 47th and Northern avenues, not far from Apollo High School in Glendale.

The crash happened just after 4 a.m. Tuesday. Glendale police tell Arizona’s Family that two people in one vehicle were rushed to the hospital where they were later pronounced dead. Their identities have not been released, but police say the victims are a man and a woman.

The driver in the other vehicle suffered only minor injuries but was also transported. Video from the scene shows one of the vehicles coming to a stop on the high school property grounds, causing damage to the fence.

Northern Avenue was closed between 43rd Avenue and 51st Avenue throughout the morning as detectives investigated what led up to the deadly collision. It reopened just after 11 a.m.
