Madison County,MS : One person dead after three car crash near Hwy 16 Thursday,August 13th 2015

One woman is dead after a three vehicle accident this morning in Madison County. The accident happened on Hwy 16 and Sharon Rd, north of Canton.
MSGT Chris Turnipseed with MS Hwy Patrol said said the accident was a chain reaction to a rear end collision.
Around 8:00 a.m. a tan 1997 GMC van followed by a silver 1999 Toyota car were traveling west on MS 16. The van slowed to make a left turn into a private drive when a third vehicle, a west bound 2007 Chevrolet Silverado rear-ended the trailing Toyota and sent it into the rear of the GMC van.
The GMC van was driven by 54-year-old Ronald Bilbrew of Canton, who suffered minor injuries and was not transported to the hospital.
The Toyota was driven by 30-year-old Ruby Lopez Miranda of Carthage, who was transported to UMC with non-life threatening injuries.
34-year-old Elena Miranda of Carthage was a passenger in the back seat of the Toyota. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Madison Co. Coroner.
