Largo, FL : Pedestrian crossing U.S. 19 near Roosevelt Boulevard killed by SUV on May 22, 2014

A pedestrian has been struck and killed on U.S. Highway 19 near East Bay Drive, police said.

Northbound traffic is shut down at 150th Avenue and is expected to remain closed for some time due to the accident investigation.

Police expect to release additional information later tonight.
