OROVILLE, CA : Man arrested for DUI after crashing truck down an embankment on Tuesday, 19th March 2024

Police arrested a man after they said he crashed his truck while driving under the influence of drugs.

On Tuesday, around 3:20 p.m., CHP officers responded to a report of a truck down an embankment on Garden Drive, just west of southbound Highway 70.

When officers arrived, they discovered the driver, identified as Brian Davis of Oroville, had failed to stop at the stop sign of the off-ramp and drove off the roadway.

The CHP said Davis sustained moderate injuries after colliding with a tree. After officers took witness statements, they determined Davis was under the influence of drugs at the time of the crash.
