A pedestrian was killed and another injured when they were hit by a car in Connecticut.
State police say it happened around 9:15 a.m. Friday on Main Street in New Hartford.
A preliminary investigation indicates a vehicle driven by 31-year-old Shivan Desai left the road and traveled onto the sidewalk, where it struck 67-year-old Sibyl Pellum and 69-year-old William Pellum.
Both were taken to a nearby hospital, where William Pellum died from his injuries.
Sibyl Pellum suffered what police believe were serious injuries.
The driver was taken to an area hospital for suspected minor injuries.
There's no word on any charges.
The crash remains under investigation.
