Danielsville,PA : Danielsville man dies in Cherryville Road crash on may, Friday 26th 2017

A Danielsville man was killed May 26 in a two-vehicle crash on Cherryville Road in Allen Township.
According to the Northampton County Coroner’s Office, Justin Gnas, 24, died at the scene from wounds sustained in the accident. The manner of death was ruled accidental.

The crash occurred just after 7 a.m. in the 4000 block of Cherryville Road.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, Gnas was driving north on Cherryville Road. He crossed the center line to pass a Slatington Volunteer Fire Department truck and, as he was attempting to merge back into the right lane, his vehicle struck the fire truck, police said.

Cherryville Road was closed between Kohls Road and Locust Drive in Lehigh Township for about eight hours, police said.
