Halifax County, VA : Brandon S. Aylor, 20, killed in single vehicle crash on Route 501 in Halifax County on January 17, 2015

A man died Saturday after crashing his car on Route 501 in Halifax County.
Brandon S. Aylor, 20, of Tooele, Utah, died at the scene. Virginia State Police say he was not wearing a seat beat.

Investigators say the crash happened around 6:45 p.m. Aylor was driving a Honda Civic on Route 501 North when he ran off the side of the road, hit a mailbox and overcorrected. The car entered the other side of the highway, ran off the left side of the road, and hit a tree.

Police say the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
