Police say a truck stolen in Oregon crashed during a high-speed chase Monday night in Battle Ground.
The chase began about 9:15 p.m. when an officer saw the truck traveling about 80 mph in a 25 mph zone. It hit a vehicle and speed away.
Police say the fleeing truck hit other vehicles and drove through residential yards in Battle Ground before eventually crashing in Woodin Creek.
Two men who tried to run away were tracked down with the help of police dogs, Vancouver police, Clark County deputies and Washington State Patrol troopers.
A 29-year-old transient and a 25-year-old from Rainier, Oregon, were jailed for investigation of possessing a stolen vehicle, hit-and-run with property damage, and attempting to elude police.
