Police have identified a taxi passenger killed in an 11-vehicle crash triggered by a City of Miami Publics Work dump truck.

Miami Police spokeswoman Kenia Fallat said in an email Saturday that 66-year-old Pamela Kay Plummer was pronounced dead at the scene.

Plummer was a passenger in the back of a taxi that police say was rear-ended in a Miami intersection by the dump truck.

According to police, that crash caused several vehicles at the intersection to spin and collide. A total of 11 vehicles were involved.

Ten people were injured and taken to hospitals. Police say the taxi driver, the dump truck's driver and two passengers in another vehicle were hospitalized in serious condition.

In a video statement, City Manager Daniel Alfonso expressed condolences to Plummer's family and said authorities are investigating.
