New Orleans, LA : 47-year-old man was struck by two different cars at Laurel Street on Friday night, December 12th 2014
The family of a Fall River man killed by a hit and run driver is describing him as an incredibly giving person.
47-year-old Roger Sullivan was struck by two different cars Friday night on Laurel Street.
Police say the driver of the first car that struck him, Bryan DeSousa, fled the scene and later returned.
A not guilty plea was entered on DeSousa's behalf Monday in Fall River District Court.
"He was a good man. A lot of people love him, liked him. He was always right there to help me,” said Tammy Lou Bouy the sister of Sullivan.
Officers found Sullivan wedged underneath a Toyota Corolla.
Witnesses say a black Honda Civic initially hit him and then left. Police say DeSousa was driving that car. They say he returned to the crash site soon after another car also struck the 47–year–old father.
"He would give his shirt off his back in the middle of the winter. And, he had nothing to give,” said Bouy.
The driver of the other car that hit Sullivan is not facing any charges as of now.
