Bowdoin, ME : Man dies in violent crash near Pond Road and closed Main Street on Saturday morning, Nov 21, 2015
It was clear to police that speed was a factor in a Saturday morning crash on Main Street that left a local man dead, after his truck was found wrapped around a tree.
“Speed was a factor in this accident, which is still under investigation,” a Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office news release states.
Adam Moore, 25, was driving 2007 Dodge pickup truck when he “lost control of his vehicle, ran off the road and struck a tree” just before 4:30 a.m., it states. “Mr. Moore, who was deceased at the scene, was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.”
The collision happened near Pond Road and closed Main Street for several hours. The roadway reopened at 7:43 a.m.
Sagadahoc County Deputy Matthew Sharpe is the lead investigator, and the crash reconstruction was done by Sgt. Andrew Booth of the Bath Police Department. Bowdoin Fire Department, as well as Bowdoin EMS and Lisbon EMS, assisted at the scene of the crash.
