Cambridge, OH : St. Clairsville woman dies in I-70 crash in Belmont County Monday night, October 17, 2016

A St. Clairsville woman was killed in a one-vehicle crash that closed a portion of Interstate 70 in Belmont County Monday night.

Mary Ambrose, 53, was pronounced dead at the scene after she was ejected from the vehicle she was driving during the accident at approximately 7:35 p.m.

Ambrose was the lone occupant of the vehicle, according to the St. Clairsville post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Ambrose was reportedly eastbound on I-70 near exit 213 when she went off the roadway and lost control of the Ford Ranger she was driving. The truck reportedly overturned multiple times, ejecting Ambrose.

The highway patrol said Ambrose was not wearing a safety belt.
