Waterloo, IA : Motorcyclist dies in motorcycle crash on Sunday September 18 2016

A Waterloo man has died following a Sunday night motorcycle crash.

The single-vehicle accident claimed the life of 54-year-old Dexter Greenway, according to police.

Details of the crash aren't available, but the accident happened at 10:39 p.m. on Westfield Drive near the railroad crossing.

A person nearby was walking to his car after work when be heard the motorcycle's engine revving and heard the impact, police said. Greenway was found unconscious nearby, and people at the scene began CPR.

Paramedics with Waterloo Fire Rescue took Greenway to Unity Point-Allen Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later
