DU QUOIN, IL : Deadly head-on crash in Du Quoin under investigation on Sunday, 17th March 2024

Illinois State Police are investigating a deadly head-on crash in Du Quoin.

Emergency crews were called at 5:11 p.m. to the crash on U.S. 51, just south of South Madison Street.

According to ISP, a southbound vehicle crossed the center line and hit a northbound vehicle head-on.

ISP said one passenger died at the scene and multiple people were taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
