Hillsboro police identify motorcyclist, 23, killed in crash

Hillsboro police have identified the motorcyclist who died in a crash Wednesday, Oct. 23, as Joshua Lloyd Bugaren of Hillsboro.
Bugaren, 23, was driving west on Southwest Davis Road at about 45 to 50 mph about 8:40 p.m., said Lt. Mike Rouches, a Hillsboro police spokesman. He was illegally passing other vehicles while he was driving, Rouches said.
A motorist in an Acura TSX on Southeast Hare Avenue started to turn left onto Davis Road, but stopped when she saw Bugaren to allow him to pass, Rouches said. Bugaren reportedly had room to pass the car but lost control and struck the front, left side of the Acura.
Bugaren died at the scene, Rouches said. The Acura’s driver, Alisha Johnson, 32, of Beaverton, was not injured. She was not cited.
