Lower Township , NJ : One person killed in flery Crash after Car crossed into the southbound lanes and struck a bridge abutmenton Saturday , January 10th 2015

One person was killed in a fiery crash on the Garden State Parkway early this morning, state police said.

The car was traveling northbound near mile post 117 when it crossed into the southbound lanes and struck a bridge abutment, Sgt. Jeff Flynn said. The car burst into flames and was burned beyond recognition.

Police are still working to identify the driver, who was driving a 2015 Hyundai Elantra.

State troopers were called out to the scene at about 2:04 this morning. Only one car was involved, and only one person was in the car, state police said.
