Cozad, NE : Mary Robertson, 59, died in a Fatal collision in Dawson County on Monday, September 19, 2016

A rural Cozad woman was killed Monday in a two-vehicle collision at Road 751 and Highway 21.

According to the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office, at 7:36 p.m. the department was notifed of the collision. A 2005 GMC Yukon driven by Monte Robertson, 64, of rural Cozad, was northbound on Highway 21. Robertson’s vehicle was struck by a westbound 1998 Saturn driven by Hailey Boutin, 19, of Eustis.

A passenger in the Yukon, Mary Robertson, 59, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Monte Robertson was transported to CozadCommunityHospital, then flown to CHI Good Samaritan in Kearney.

Boutin was transported to CozadCommunityHospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to DCSO. Seatbelts were in use.

The Nebraska State Patrol, Eustis Fire Department, and Dawson County Attorney’s Office assisted at the scene.
