Marina, CA : Elderly man injured in Marina hit and run on monday around 4:16 in the afternoon, May 5th 2014

Marina police said an 83-year-old man is in stable condition after he was run over by a brown SUV Monday around 4:16 in the afternoon.

Fire and police responded to 299 Carmel Avenue where the victim and witnesses said the vehicle ran over the man's legs outside an apartment complex. Police said the driver of the SUV was a woman, who took off northbound on Crescent Avenue toward Reservation Road.

Police will not look at business surveillance cameras to try and match the suspect's vehicle.
