A Coker woman involved in a traffic crash early Tuesday succumbed to her injuries at a Birmingham hospital on Wednesday.
Courtney Lake, 25, was injured in a crash on U.S. Highway 43 North at 1:35 a.m. Tuesday, said Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Senior Trooper Reginal King.
Lake was driving a 2014 Nissan Rogue that left the roadway and struck a tree near the 213 mile marker, about five miles south of Samantha, he said.
She was transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham, where she died Wednesday. Troopers are investigating the circumstances of the crash, King said.
