GRAND BLANC TOWNSHIP, MI : 86-year-old pedestrian hit and killed in Grand Blanc Township on Monday, 8th January 2024

An 86-year-old man walking on Baldwin Road in Grand Blanc Township was hit and killed by a passing car Monday evening.

Grand Blanc Township police say the victim, who lived at the nearby Brookdale Senior Living complex, was walking eastbound in a dark stretch of the 5100 block of East Baldwin Road around 8:10 p.m.

Police say a 26-year-old driving a BMW sedan east on Baldwin Road did not see the victim because it was dark and the 86-year-old was in the road.

The 86-year-old man, who police did not identify Tuesday, was pronounced dead of his injuries. The 26-year-old in the BMW did not report any injuries from the crash.
