Cascade Locks ,OR : Driver arrested after SUV crashes into Cascade Locks home on Saturday ,May 23rd 2015
A family narrowly missed being hit by a car Saturday while they were sitting inside the living room of their Cascade Locks home.
On Saturday just after 10 a.m., Sheriff's Deputies were called to a house on Clark St., near the corner of Forest Lane.
When a deputy arrived on scene they saw an SUV had smashed into the home, narrowly missing a family member who was seated a foot away from the impact. There were five people inside the residence at the time of the crash. No one was hurt.
The vehicle caused significant property damage at three other houses located on Forest Lane, passing through at least two fences, before finally coming to a stop when it partially became imbedded in the house.
The impact caused notable damage to the house and the vehicle could not be immediately removed.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as twenty-six-year-old Zachary Struthers of Cascade Locks. Struthers was taken to jail on charges of DUII - controlled substance, reckless driving, five counts of recklessly endangering and an outstanding Lane County warrant.
