Alachua County, FL : Fleeing a trooper leads to crash, manhunt on Tuesday, 10th December, 2019

A car chase in northwest Alachua County on Tuesday afternoon ended in a crash and two arrests, following a manhunt aided by witnesses.

The incident occurred about 1:20 p.m. when a state trooper noticed a 2017 Lexus NX2000 being driven recklessly while exiting Interstate 75 at Northwest 39th Avenue, according to a Florida Highway Patrol press release.

The driver failed to stop when the trooper tried to pull him over and was eventually speeding southbound on Northwest 143rd Street, FHP reported.
