Prairieville , LA : Infant dies after 2 vehicle collision on US 61 at La. 73 in Ascension Parish on Tuesday May 5th 2015

Three people were taken to the hospital as a precaution on May 1 after a vehicle pulled out in front of an oncoming car on Main Street.

Police said 19-year-old Brittney M. Philpott was pulling out from Maddocks Avenue and turning left onto Main Street around 6:45 p.m. in her 2009 Subaru.

She pulled out into the path of a 2014 Toyota SUV driven by 38-year-old Cara C. Pinkham of Ellsworth, who was headed toward Ellsworth on Main Street.

Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene due to the amount of damage caused by the crash that followed.

Pinkham was uninjured, but Philpott and her two passengers were taken to the hospital by ambulance with complaints of pain.
