Montgomery, AL : Boaz man killed in one-car crash on Summerville Road on Tuesday, 25th September 2018

A Boaz man died as a result of a one-vehicle crash Tuesday evening on Summerville Road, according to Alabama State Troopers.

Brandon Lee Paul, 24, was injured when the 1997 Nissan Sentra he was driving left the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned. Paul, who was not using a seat belt, was ejected. He was transported to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries.

An unrestrained passenger in his vehicle also was ejected from the car and taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The crash occurred at 7:20 p.m., 3 miles east of Douglas. Troopers continue to investigate.
