Wallingford, CT : Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries in Wallingford crash on Sunday, April 9, 2017
A town resident suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle accident on Sunday.
Police say Karl Harrison, 36, of Wallingford, was traveling north on Hanover Street at about 3:50 p.m. when he lost control of the motorcycle on a turn, according to Lt. Anthony DeMaio. He was not wearing a helmet.
Harrison was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, where he is in “critical but stable” condition, said Lt. Cheryl Bradley.
An investigation, which is ongoing, revealed that “excessive speed was a contributing factor in Harrison’s loss of control, ” police said.
Traffic was blocked in the area until about 8 p.m. Sunday while police reconstructed the accident.
