Victoria,TX : A 39-year-old Victoria man was killed on July, Monday 17th 2017

A 39-year-old Victoria man was killed early Monday morning after being struck by a vehicle.

Phillip Medellin was driving north on a 2008 Harley-Davidson about 2 a.m. on U.S. 77, about 3 miles north of Woodsboro, when he crashed and was ejected to the center median of the roadway, said Sgt. Nathan Brandley, spokesperson for the Department of Public Safety in Corpus Christi.

Following the ejection, Brandley said a northbound 2001 GMC Yukon struck and killed Medellin.

He said Medellin was pronounced dead at the scene and the people in the GMC suffered no injuries.

No citations were issued.

The cause of Medellin’s initial crash was still under investigation as of Tuesday afternoon.
