A woman driving with three children in her car was killed in a crash, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
It happened Saturday in Wyandot County. OSHP said Normurod Roziko from Niles, Illinois was trying to make a U-turn on U.S. 23 northbound at C.R. 42 in a commercial vehicle. At the same time, a 2010 Ford Edge, driven by Darlene Kujawa from Findlay, Ohio, was traveling northbound on U.S. 23. Authorities said the commercial vehicle didn't yield while turning left and was hit by the Ford.
Roziko, the driver of the commercial vehicle, was not injured. Kujawa, the driver of the Ford, was taken by helicopter to the hospital where she later died. Three children were also in the Ford and airlifted to hospitals. The kids, ages 7, 6 and 4, are expected to be OK.
OSHP said alcohol is not considered to be a factor in the crash.
