Ventura,CA : Oxnard man arrested after chase, Ventura crash on August, Saturday 26th 2017

A 31-year-old Oxnard man was arrested by Ventura police officers after authorities say he sped through streets and crashed his pickup.

Early Saturday, shortly after midnight, a Ventura officer saw the pickup headed east on Main Street near Callens Road, according to a Ventura Police Department news release.

The officer reported the truck's speed ranged between 80 and 100 mph. He tried to catch up but lost sight of the pickup near Palma Drive and Valentine Road, police said.

Still searching for the vehicle, police said the officer then spotted the pickup on its side at a construction site in the 4600 block of Valentine Road.
