ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC : Fatal single-vehicle collision in Orangeburg Co on Sunday, 7th May 2023

The Orangeburg County coroner has identified the victim in a single-vehicle crash that happened early Sunday morning.
Lucas Carraway, 18, of Summerton, died at the scene of the crash from blunt force injuries, Deputy Chief Coroner Sean Fogle said.
South Carolina Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Lena Butler said the crash happened at around 2:45 a.m. on South Carolina Highway 47 near Farmer’s Road and left four other people injured.
Butler said five people were traveling north in a 2007 Toyota Camry when the vehicle went off the roadway to the right and overturned.
EMS took the other four passengers to an area hospital for treatment of their injuries.
