Framingham, MA : Girl injured in Wayland pedestrian crash on Tuesday, JUNE 21, 2016

A 12-year-old girl suffered injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening as she was stuck by a car as she crossed Old Sudbury Road on Tuesday.

The girl was taken to Children’s Hospital in Boston after the 1:23 p.m. crash to be treated for her injuries, police said.

According to police, the girl and some friends were crossing three lanes of traffic.

“The vehicle in one lane stopped to let them cross when a vehicle in the next lane did not see them and struck the victim,” police said in a release.

Police said they do not expect to charge the driver.
