Phoenix, AZ : Driver killed in SUV’s crash into parked flatbed trailer in west Phoenix on Wednesday, February 15, 2017

Phoenix police say an SUV’s driver was killed when it crashed into a parked flatbed trailer while trying to pass a slow-moving tractor-trailer rig.

Police say the wreck occurred shortly before 6 a.m. Wednesday in an industrial area on West Jefferson Street near 51st Avenue in west Phoenix.

The trailer was parked by itself along a curb and not attached to a cab unit.
