TUSCUMBIA, AL : Tennessee man critical after Monday night wreck on Monda, 12th September 2016

A Tennessee man remains in critical condition after the motorcycle he was driving collided with a truck on U.S. 72 in Tuscumbia Monday evening.

Reports indicate that Jerry Hayes, 69, Cypress Inn, Tennessee, was injured in the accident that happened just before 8 p.m. on U.S. 72 near L&L Propane.

Police Capt. Stuart Setliff said Hayes was taken to Huntsville Hospital.

Steve Doyle, a spokesman for Huntsville Hospital, said Hayes is in the hospital’s surgical intensive care unit in critical condition.

Setliff said Hayes was riding a 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle that collided with a 1996 Dodge truck that was pulling a trailer. The truck was driven by Timothy Buchanan, 42, of Tishomingo, Mississippi. Buchanan was not injured.

The wreck remains under investigation by the Tuscumbia Police Department.
