Finney County, KS : Alabama man injured in a crash on U.S. Highway 50 in rural Finney County on Thursday, 26th July 2018

An Alabama man was taken to the hospital with possible injuries Thursday after another vehicle overcorrected and struck his on U.S. Highway 50 in rural Finney County.

At about 2:05 p.m., 22-year-old Htoo Nay Doe, of Garden City, was westbound in a 2009 Nissan Altima in the inside lane of U.S. 50, about a mile west of the U.S. 83/50 intersection. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, he went off the roadway to the left, overcorrected to the right, and struck a 2003 Honda Civic driven by Mohammad Kokash, 27, of Alabama, who was westbound in the outside lane.

Kokash was taken to St. Catherine Hospital with possible injuries.

Doe was not injured. Two passengers who were in his vehicle, David Htoo, 25, and Klay Paw, 47, both of Garden City, also were not injured.

Everyone involved in the crash was wearing a seat belt.
