Blount County, TN : Two people killed in a head-on collision in Blount County on Monday January 11 2016.

Alabama State Troopers are investigating a car crash in Blount County that claimed two lives Monday evening.
The wreck was on Alabama 75 about two miles south of Oneonta near the 23 mile marker.
Troopers say a 1999 For Mustang crossed the median and crashed head-on into an oncoming 2006 Chrysler van.
It happened shortly after 5:30 p.m. The Blount County Coroner's Officer was called shortly after troopers arrived.
Blount County Coroner Mark Vaughn said both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Ford's driver was identified as Robert Eugene Marsh, 52, of Oneonta. The Chrysler's driver was identified as Nelson Dehaven Byess, 68, of the Gallant area of Blount County.
Troopers are still investigating the wreck. No further information was available.
