Yalobusha County , MS :1 killed, 5 injured in Yalobusha County crash on Thursday , June 25th 2015

One person died after a two car accident in Yalobusha County Thursday afternoon.According to investigators, both cars were traveling south on Interstate 55 when one of the drivers, 56-year-old Delois Reed slowed down. The driver of the other car, 62-year-old Walter Norris collided into the back of her car. Both cars ended up in the median.Reese, who investigators said had moderate injuries, had four other passengers in the car with her. A four-year-old child and a 10-month-old child, both properly restrained, were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.Another passenger, Danielle Gipson, was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.Emergency responders had to extract 29-year-old A.W. Jones from the car. He died on the scene from his injuries.
Norris also suffered moderate injuries.The Mississippi Highway Patrol and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations Accident Investigation Team are both still working on this ongoing situation.
