VEVAY TOWNSHIP, MI : Lansing man seriously hurt in Saturday crash on Saturday, January 28th 2017

A man was seriously hurt late Saturday after being hit by a vehicle in Vevay Township.

The 29-year-old Lansing man was found alive but with serious injuries at about 10 p.m. Saturday on Barnes Road near Laxton Road, the Ingham County Sheriff's Office reported Sunday. He had been struck by a vehicle, and the driver of that vehicle had stopped, police reported.

Police believe the injured man may have been a passenger in a separate vehicle and had gotten out before being hit. The incident remains under investigation.

The incident happened near U.S.-127, south of Mason.
