LOUISVILLE, KY : Man hit by truck and killed on Dixie Highway on Saturday, 27th January 2024

A pedestrian was hit and killed at on Dixie Highway Saturday night, LMPD confirmed.

LMPD responded to the call around 9 p.m. at the intersection of Dixie Highway and Flovervale Lane. An LMPD spokesperson said a witness said a pick-up truck was traveling on Dixie Highway and entered the intersection on a green light when a man wearing all dark clothing stepped into the path and was hit.

The pick-up driver stopped immediately to call for help. EMS and fire arrived on the scene and pronounced the man dead.

The driver was not injured. No charges are expected.
