Glasgow, KY : A Glasgow man died in a two-vehicle crash on Friday, October, 27th 2017
A Glasgow man died in a two-vehicle crash that occurred around 3:15 p.m. Friday in the eastbound lane of the Louie B. Nunn/Cumberland Parkway near the one mile marker in Barren County.
The crash occurred when a westbound 2015 Freightliner commercial vehicle driven by Steven Ward, 32, of North Little Rock/Pulaski, Arkansas exited the left shoulder of the road and crossed into the median. The tractor-trailer continued its path of travel, crossing into the eastbound lane and struck a 2007 Nissan Altima driven by Nathan Sewell, 43, of Glasgow, said a Kentucky State Police report.
Sewell was pronounced dead at the scene by personnel with the Barren County Coroner's Office. No other injures were reported, the press release said.
An investigation regarding the crash continues and is being led by Trooper Daniel Priddy. He was assisted at the crash scene by Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, firefighters with the Park City and Cave City Volunteer Fire departments, the Barren-Metcalfe County Emergency Medical Service and the Barren County Coroner's Office, the press release said.
