Oklahoma City, OK : A Locust Grove man died in a Cherokee County crash on Tuesday, December, 5th 2017

A Locust Grove man died Tuesday in a Cherokee County crash, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.

Billy Fleck, 37, was pronounced dead at the scene about 9:50 p.m. Tuesday on State Highway 82 about 11 miles north of Tahlequah.

Passenger Eric Cook, 31, of Locust Grove, was taken to a Tahlequah hospital where he was treated and released.

Fleck was driving a sport utility vehicle north on SH 82 when the vehicle went off the roadway for an unknown reason and hit a tree.

Fleck and Cook wore seat belts.
