FAIRHAVEN, MA : Brockton resident dies after crash in Fairhaven on Saturday, 3rd August 2024

The Fairhaven Police Department said that a fatal car accident occurred on Main Street on Aug. 3.

Police responded to the area of Riverside Cemetery near the Route 195 overpass around 7 p.m.

The driver of a moped was seriously injured and transported to to St. Luke’s Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office said the victim was 29-year-old Alexis Alvarez.

Police said a preliminary investigation determined that the moped and truck were both traveling southbound at the time of the crash.
