WARRENVILLE, IL : 3 dead after wrong-way crash on I-88 in suburban Chicago on December, November 2nd, 2016
Police say three people are dead following a wrong-way crash involving two cars along Interstate 88 in suburban Chicago.
Illinois State Police say the crash happened shortly before 1 a.m. Friday along the interstate in the Warrenville and Naperville area. Police say a Toyota Camry driven by 30-year-old Domenic Andreoni of Elign was heading eastbound in the westbound lanes when it collided head-on with a Chrysler 300.
Police say Andreoni was pronounced dead at the scene along with the Chrysler’s driver 32-year-old Ali Erhaima of Aurora and passenger 40-year-old Shiva Inampudi of Naperville.
Westbound traffic was closed and diverted off the interstate as crews responded, but the freeway was reopened Friday morning.
