Bloomer, WI : One person died in a two-vehicle, head-on crash in Chippewa County on Saturday, April 23, 2016
One person has died in a two-vehicle, head-on crash in the town of Bloomer, according to the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash occurred at 9:46 p.m. Saturday along Highway 64, just east of 102nd St.
“The vehicles were traveling in opposite directions and collided at some point,” said Chippewa County Chief Deputy Chad Holum. “ One vehicle was occupied with 5 people. The operator of that vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other 4 passengers were transported by ambulance to local hospitals with unknown injuries.”
The operator of the other vehicle was the lone occupant of that car, and was also taken to an area hospital with unknown injuries, Holum said.
The identity of people involved have not been released at this time.
