Durango, CO : 1 dead in snowplow-truck collision on Colorado 184 on Sunday, February 19th 2017
One person was killed Sunday afternoon when a truck collided with a Colorado Department of Transportation snowplow on Colorado Highway 184 near Dolores.
Colorado State Patrol spokesman Tim Sutherland said a driver of a Dodge Ram was traveling northbound on Highway 184, and as the driver navigated a turn, drove head on into the snowplow.
The CDOT driver was taken to a hospital, but did not suffer serious injuries, he said.
Sutherland was unable to release the identity of the deceased until next of kin are notified.
On Sunday evening, CDOT spokeswoman Lisa Schwantes could not provided additional information.
The crash was reported about 2 p.m. about six miles east of the intersection with Colorado Highway 145.
