Cincinnati, OH : All lanes open on Fort Washington Way following crash on Thursday morning, August 14, 2014
A crash involving a semi tractor-trailer that pinned a sport utility vehicle against a median wall partially shut down eastbound Fort Washington Way through morning rush hour Thursday.
The left lanes were closed for more than three hours. All lanes re-opened just after 9 a.m.
A female driving the SUV spun out on wet pavement from overnight rain and was facing the wrong way on Fort Washington Way near U.S. Bank Arena as a semi tractor-trailer approached just before 6 a.m., Cincinnati fire officials said.
The semi could not stop in time and struck the vehicle, pinning it against the median wall.
The woman inside the SUV suffered non-life threatening injuries. She was able to drop down and slide out so firefighters could free her from the wrecked vehicle.
She was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
