A 30-year-old Westmoreland man was found dead on Wednesday morning after a single-vehicle crash in the 600 block of Dry Creek Road.
A motorist called police just before 6 a.m. when the person saw a black car in the tree line.
The preliminary investigation shows the man was traveling south on Dry Creek Road in a 2016 Chevrolet Sonic when he left the road and struck a tree. The car rolled over, striking a second tree on the driver’s side.
The driver’s name has not been released pending notification of his next of kin.
Investigators are working to determine an approximate time when the crash happened. Toxicology testing will be conducted to determine whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
