Lexington, IN : Three people killed and five other were seriously injured in a weekend crash at East Cherry Street On Saturday, April 30th, 2016

Indiana State Police are investigating a weekend crash that killed three people and left five others injured.

The crash was reported Saturday night on East Cherry Street in Lexington, which is in Scott County.

Police said a small Kia Spectra and a Chevy pickup collided head on.

Alfonzo Qualls, 36, died in the crash, along with two children ages 8 and 10, who were in the car with him.

Three other children were also in that same car.

They survived but were seriously injured.

Several people in the truck suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said Qualls was driving with a suspended license.

Police have not yet said if drugs or alcohol were involved.
