Byhalia, MS : A person died after a crash in Byhalia on Tuesday, July 14, 2015

A person died after a crash in Byhalia, Mississippi Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, two cars crashed on Highway 302 near Barringer Road around 1:30 p.m.

MHP said Vincent P. Stinnett, 41, was driving southbound when his vehicle hit a Ford Focus traveling eastbound.

Stinnett was ejected from his vehicle and died on the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The accident is under investigation.
