One person was killed in crash near Daphne Alabama

One person was killed on Highway 98 in Daphne Friday morning. It happened just before 8am near the intersection of Pickett Avenue. Witnesses say the teenage driver of the white car was driving north on Hwy 98 when she leaned down to get her cell phone.

They say she hit the other driver who was stopped at a stop sign on Pickett Avenue. The driver of that car was pronounced death on the scene.

The passenger in the front seat of that car was taken by ambulance to the hospital. Two children, ages two and five, were airlifted to the hospital. The victims ID's have not been released.
